One of the ways that :Jer and I got to know each other is at “Sushi Thursday” when several of our friends would gather in a group and hang out over sushi. While we were experimenting with new types of sushi, we also had great conversations which led us into our relationship. Of course over time our friends fell away to other things, but our love for sushi, and each other, continued to grow.

We still go out for sushi frequently, but I really wanted to try my hand at making sushi at homes. Well, at least sushi rolls! We registered for a little ceramic set of dishes for soy sauce and wasabi with wooden chopsticks. I finally ventured out to epicurious and obtained the recipe for my personal favorite, California rolls. Plus, they seemed like the easiest thing to make, and the hardest thing to mess up. :)

I guess you’d have to ask :Jer how it turned out, but I’d say that for my first attempt it was delicious!!!!!!! Delicious with SIX exclamation points. So if you’re daring, come try some.
