Adventures in Tea

Monday and Tuesday I was home sick with the flu. So sick that I was up from 2am till around 6am when I finally passed out from exhaustion. Then I slept about 8 hours straight and didn't even get to knit during my sick day because sitting upright was too much work.

Jer was very nice and got the kids ready and to school while I slept through him asking for socks and a humorous story about Logan slipping and falling on the ice. Don’t worry, he landed on his backpack and is completely fine. Of course yesterday he scraped his back when he fell on the playground and it reminds me of the movie Tommy Boy in such a way that we’re praying he never sees just how bad it looks.

I came back to work on Wednesday, but apparently my brain and most of my motor skills have yet to join me. I keep bumping into things, spilling, dropping, and breaking things as well. In fact, earlier I wanted to make a glass of tea so I spilled the water in the microwave both getting the coffee cup in and out. Then I tried to get an ice cube to cool it down, but my brain thought the ice maker would be a good idea, which of course resulted in sloshing and splashing as the cubes plopped in. Delightful.

The story, Adventures in Tea, doesn’t stop there but I can’t bear to tell you the other twenty accidents that occurred along the way. We’ll just say that there is one less coffee cup in the kitchen cabinet, and one more in the trash.

I can’t believe that it will be Christmas Eve in 10 days. Wow. Jer and I better get to shopping!! Though we did get one thing checked off the Christmas list… I’ll have to post all about that when my brain and motor skills line back up. And let’s face it, anyone who knows me is saying like that will ever happen…

I just discovered your blog from your Flickr profile and it is great to find another real Christian. You have a new reader.
