My friend BK sent me an email meme. It's the kind where you answer some questions and then email it to everyone you know or don't know and want to know. The lucky recipients are forced to learn about you when you drop an email bomb like that, and if you're loved I suppose you get the same in return. Well I haven't done one of these in a while and I'm not even sure that I have any in my archives since I just had to create a new category for it!
So keep reading for the meme. If you'd like to play along, copy the questions to your own site or email and send it back to me. I'd like to hear from you too.
What is your occupation?
Administrative Coordinator
What color are your socks right now?
Blue with little yellow butterflies (because I'm still six years old apparently)
What are you listening to right now?
Turkish Delight by The David Crowder Band
What was the last thing that you ate?
Strawberry Nutrigrain Bar
Can you drive a stick shift?
Of course!
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
What kind of question is this? I mean, it's not the color you are but the color you make! All that said, I'd say Dandelion.
Last person you spoke to on the phone?
Jer who called to tell me he <3 's me. Isn't that sweet?
Do you like the person who sent this to you?
Of course! Plus, BK was one of the band members in our wedding. She rocks.
How old are you today?
Twenty-Nine-Not-Thirty
Favorite drink?
Diet Dr. Pepper
What is your favorite sport to watch?
I don't really watch sports or follow them at all except we do watch the Winter X Games and I like Rugby/Footy but we don't see much of that here.
Have you ever dyed your hair?
Yep. One time I dyed it green to go to a concert. Oh the silly things you do when you're sixteen.
Pets?
A cat who is famous, Nelson, and a Chihuahua, Lucy, who is almost famous.
Favorite food?
Mexican food... pretty much all things considered Mexican food except refried beans, those I can live without.
What was the last movie you watched and did you cry?
You just had to ask about the crying thing huh? Well of course I cried, I'm not heartless! A few days ago I was resting in bed and found A Walk To Remember on TBS.
Favorite month?
March; that's when Spring starts and that makes me happy :). And shortly after Spring is Summer when we can drive the Jeep everywhere topless and doorless.
What do you do to vent anger?
I'm not a very angry person in general, but when I'm upset I usually talk to Jer about it and we pray together.
What was your favorite toy as a child?
My Cabbage Patch doll. Her name was Adaline Clarie. I moved around a lot (that's an understatement if ever there was one) and she was the only constant thing. Second to that would be my Strawberry Shortcake doll. She always smelled soo yummy! :p
Hugs or Kisses?
Kisses; they are a little less awkward than hugging. With hugging you have to determine if you're arms are over or under, how tight to embrace, how long to hold, and whether or not you really want that person in your personal space. Kisses can be quick and still intimate enough to show affection. A little peck and it's over. And if you're about to get a smooch on the lips and you don't want one you can do what I do; turn your head and let it land on your cheek then say, "Ha! You missed!". The kids love this game.
Cherries or Blue Berries?
Cherries. I prefer the sweet Maraschino cherries that you can pluck from the stem and they won't stain your hands like blueberries.
Do you want your friends to email you back?
I just said as much above, but if not an email, leave me a comment!
Who is most likely to respond?
Hmmm... I'm not really sure. I'd say maybe CursingMama. She's totally not comment shy like most of my other readers.
Who is least likely to respond?
I chuckle when I say Jer because I know he'd probably like to respond to this, but he is probably too busy holding me up on a pedestal and all. <3
Living Arrangements?
Well there's me, Jer, our four kids, two aforementioned pets, and computers that out number us all.
When was the last time you cried?
Well besides the tears I shed during the movie, I think the last time I cried would be sometime during the whole wisdom tooth extraction recovery process.
What is on the floor of your closet?
Shoes, last nights PJs, and a server and firewall. I think you under estimate the geekiness in our family...
Who is the friend you have had the longest relationship with?
My sister Shannon. I can say my sister because we were friends before her family adopted me. We worked together, we went to school together (though she was two years older than me), and we played softball together.
What is your favorite smell?
It's completely corny but I have to say my husband. I love his cologne and his scent always drives me crazy. (Pretend you didn't read that, Mom)
What did you do last nite?
After the boys finished with the wrestling tournament I made dinner at home, did laundry, packed for my trip, and spent time relaxing with Jer watching Man Vs. Wild (Because Law & Order wasn't on).
What inspires you?
Jesus inspires me to live better... differently than the rest of the world. He inspires my life, my marriage, my family, and my friendships. He also challenges me to trust and love with such ferocity.
What are you afraid of?
Spiders. No details... just icky creepy crawly mean and ugly spiders.
Plain, Cheese, or spicy hamburgers?
Spicy? What the heck is a spicy hamburger? I like mine with pretty much everything. Mushrooms, cheese, bacon, guacamole, Pico de Gallo, mayo and mustard, sour cream... Mmmm... sounding pretty good isn't it?
Favorite dog breed?
I used to not like Chihuahuas because I was of the mindset that they were yippy little uncontrollable things with one personality cloned into a billion little four pound ankle biters. But now I see what it is to be a responsible owner/trainer/pack leader (Thanks Cesar) I've come to love the breed. Of course Labradors are very near and dear to my heart and I hope to get another some day.
Number of keys on your key ring?
Three and it was a fight to get that many on there. I don't like keys or key rings or key chains. If I did I'd have become a locksmith or something. I keep my Jeep keys at home and my work keys on a separate key ring. Jer had to convince me to keep his truck key with me.
How many years at your current job?
I just started this job this past September; lovin' every minute of it.
Favorite day of the week?
Thursday. Though this might be changing a little bit now. I used to love Thursday because it means that the next day is the beginning of the weekend. Work is usually a little happier and more easy going and up until I started here, we could wear jeans to work that day.
What states have you lived in?
Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma (I'm surprised I admit that), Missouri, and Kansas.
Favorite holidays?
St. Patrick's Day! The Irish in me loves to celebrate with greenery and parades, the warm weather lover in me leaps for joy with the oncoming Spring weather that this holiday ushers in.
Ever driven a Motorcycle or heavy machinery?
One time I tried to drive a motorcycle but I couldn't figure out how to shift... or brake for that matter... so I drove it into a very large ditch where it fell over on me. It is one of my life's goals to learn to drive a tractor though.
Full Name?
Yes I have one. :) Katherine
